The Department for Employment and Learning commissioned consultants, Perceptive Insight, to undertake a survey of customers who participated in the Steps to Work programme and who subsequently moved into employment. The research was conducted with a sample of 1,029 participants with the aim of gathering information on areas such as job sustainment, job progression, sector of employment, type of employment and salary.
