In line with the ‘New Decade New Approach’ commitment Deirdre Hargey, Minister for Communities commenced development work on the Ulster Scots Language, Heritage and Culture Strategy with the establishment of an Expert Advisory Panel.
The Expert Advisory Panel brought together a group of representatives from across academia and the Ulster Scots language, heritage and culture sector. The Panel was tasked with preparing a report setting out recommendations to Minister Hargey about the themes and key actions a new Ulster Scots Language, Heritage and Culture Strategy should include.
These recommendations have now been published as a report alongside a ‘Call for Views’ consultation.
