Appointment of the Chair to the SportNI Board

The Department for Communities invites applications for the appointment of the Chair to the Board of Sport NI.
Sport plays a major role within society. A key focus of Sport NI is to ensure that all participants are provided with the conditions they require to enjoy, engage and excel in sport and physical activity.
An opportunity to join and lead the Sport NI Board, as the Chair has arisen, providing an individual with an excellent opportunity to contribute to its leadership and oversight. The Board also plays a critical role in both developing and improving the knowledge and appreciation of sport.
Applications are welcome from a wide range of people who have an interest in public service, including those who are looking for an opportunity to use their skills and experience. We would particularly welcome applications from women, people with a disability, young people and people from minority ethnic groups for this position. A Guaranteed Interview Scheme is in place for those applicants with a disability.
