This short publication is intended to help listed building owners, custodians and the general public understand the term ‘de-listing’. It also sets out the process that the Department will follow when an application is made to de-list a building, and the requirements which must be met to demonstrate that the building no longer has special architectural or historic interest, and therefore does not meet the Criteria for Listing.
