The purpose of this Rule is to amend various social security regulations to ensure that any payments made to recipients of social security benefits in respect of Post Office Horizon-related compensation, Grenfell Tower-related compensation and damages and the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme are disregarded indefinitely as capital and income for the purposes of calculating entitlement to means-tested social security benefits (Universal Credit, Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, income-related Employment and Support Allowance, Housing Benefit and State Pension Credit).
