Benefits statistics
Analytics Division provides statistics on social security benefits in Northern Ireland. Statistics on all main benefits are provided in the pages below.
Housing statistics
Quarterly and annual compendium publications of housing statistics, biannual homelessness statistics and the ongoing review of data included in these publications and their proposed changes.
Culture and heritage statistics
Statistics on engagement with the arts, the historic environment, knowledge and use of Irish and Ulster-Scots and participation in Irish and Ulster-Scots culture and heritage.
Sport, museums and libraries statistics
Statistical publications on participation in sport, attendance at museums and science centres and use of the public libraries service in Northern Ireland by adults and young people.
Family resources survey and poverty analysis
The Family Resources Survey collects detailed information on the incomes and circumstances of private households from April to March each year. The survey has been carried out in Great Britain since 1992 and in Northern Ireland from 2002-03.

Social policy statistics
Statistical publications in relation to a range of social policy areas, including liquor licensing and gambling.
Customer insight
Publications include results of the Department's questions which have featured in the Northern Ireland Omnibus household survey since September 2012. Other research has monitored claimant satisfaction levels and evaluated claimant views on services provided by the Department.
Economic and Social Research Review
The Economic and Social Research Review aims to capture and disseminate key economic and social research relevant to the Department’s policy agenda to inform evidence-based policy making.

Analytics Division
Analytics Division provides Statistical and Research services to the Department. This work informs policy, planning and decision making in the areas of social security, child maintenance and pensions, as well as housing, urban regeneration, community development and voluntary activity.
